Weekend Picks: Philadelphia Science Festival, Jurassic World At The Franklin Institute, Earth Day Events And More

Spend the weekend at festivals, beer gardens, concerts and more...

Few things say spring more than blockbuster festivals, the grand opening of al fresco beer gardens and fun outdoor events — and this weekend, Philadelphia has all of that and more.

The Philadelphia Science Festival kicks off this weekend with a number of fun events across the city. The festival starts with a prom-themed kickoff party at The Franklin Institute and continues throughout the weekend with a citywide park event and a science-themed bar crawl at some of Fishtown’s most popular bars.

It’s also the final few days to check out Jurassic World: The Exhibition at The Franklin Institute, an exciting exhibition featuring life-like dinosaurs, hands-on activities and experiences from the film.

With some rain in the forecast for the weekend, be sure to check event websites and social media pages before heading out to any al fresco events.

And don’t forget to follow Uwishunu on Twitter and Instagram for updates throughout the weekend.
