Weekend Picks: First Friday, Cinco De Mayo, South Street Spring Festival, Broad Street Run And More

Enjoy festivals, exhibitions, parties and more...

Feel that, Philly? That Friday feeling?

The weekend starts with a number of major events, including Cinco de Mayo parties across town and First Friday celebrations at museums, galleries and other fun attractions.

On Saturday, the fun continues as the South Street Spring Festival fills 12 blocks (!) of South Street and the surrounding area with live music, great food, cold drinks, shopping and the popular Maifest at Brauhaus Schmitz (think traditional German dancing, food and beer).

Following the festival, the Broad Street Run hits this Sunday with thousands of athletes making their way down the 10-mile course on Broad Street while tons of spectators cheer them on.

Don’t forget to follow Uwishunu on Twitter and Instagram for updates throughout the weekend.

With some rain in the forecast for the weekend, be sure to check event websites and social media pages before heading out to any al fresco events.
