Weekend Picks: Bastille Day Festival, Lancaster Avenue Jazz Fest, Parks On Tap At The Schuylkill Banks And More

How to spend this July weekend in Philly...

The weekend is here again and attractions and parks across the city are throwing all-out festivals to welcome it.

This Saturday, the Bastille Day Festival hits Eastern State Penitentiary with a giant (and free!) al fresco festival with a centerpiece (and tongue-and-cheek) performance of the storming of the Bastille and plenty of block party fun along the way.

In West Philly, the music-fueled Lancaster Avenue Jazz Festival returns with a full day (!) of free concerts in Saunders Park.

Those seeking a water breeze should head to the Schuylkill Banks for this week’s edition of Parks on Tap. Guests of the roving beer garden can enjoy cold drinks, barbecue and sweeping views of the river and skyline.

Read on for our guide to this weekend in Philly.
