Weekend Picks: Hispanic Fiesta, Ferris Wheel At Penn’s Landing, First Friday And More

More than 50 great ways to spend your weekend...

The excitement of a busy week continues into the weekend with excellent happenings all over the city.

At the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing, the two-day Hispanic Fiesta returns to celebrate Latino culture in Philadelphia. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy music, food, performances, shopping and more.

Just a few steps away from the festivities at Penn’s Landing, The Midway (a boardwalk-inspired attraction with carnival games and rides) continues to entertain the masses with a giant Ferris wheel, a carousel, games and lots more. Note that after this weekend, the Ferris wheel will be replaced by The Pharaoh’s Fury, a ship that swings in an arc that reaches as high as 50 feet into the air. The Ferris wheel will return on July 24.

Also this weekend? A Second Saturday festival in Germantown, First Friday fun along neighborhood thoroughfares, the Mad Decent Block Party and so much more.
