Weekend Picks: Federal Donuts Block Party, Last Chance For Spruce Street Harbor Park And More

More than 70 phenomenal things to do this Friday, Saturday and Sunday...

It’s going to be a gorgeous weekend in the City of Brotherly Love, and the city is welcoming the cooler weather with a spectacular array of things to do.

This weekend is the last chance to enjoy two of Philly’s most popular seasonal attractions: the verdant Spruce Street Harbor Park on the Delaware River waterfront and roving beer garden Parks On Tap, which has set up at Powers Park in Port Richmond.

The Franklin Institute’s highly anticipated Terracotta Warriors of the First Emperor exhibition opens on Saturday. Philly is the only East Coast stop for this exhibition that displays 10 members of the 2,000-year-old army of clay statues that guarded the tomb of China’s First Emperor until they were discovered in 1974.

A mouthwatering Federal Donuts Block Party on Sunday features free donuts and chicken sandwiches, and sports lovers can catch one of the Phillies’ last games of the season and get an early look at the new Philadelphia 76ers squad with a free public scrimmage at The Palestra.

Be sure to follow Uwishunu on Twitter and Instagram for updates throughout the weekend.
