Weekend Picks: Parkway 100, Fringe Festival, Kennett Square Mushroom Festival And More

It's going to be another great weekend in Philadelphia...

It’s (unofficially) fall in Philadelphia, which means there are a ton of great ways to enjoy the weekend.

The iconic Benjamin Franklin Parkway hits its centennial with a huge celebration: Parkway 100, a 14-month fest that kicks off Friday night with the “We Are Connected” Festival, free or pay-what-you-wish admission at six major Parkway attractions and a slew of other fun happenings.

Friday is also the beginning of Philadelphia’s 21st annual Fringe Festival, an annual smorgasbord of performing arts featuring more than 1,000 performances over the next 18 days. Don’t miss the kick off party at FringeArts on Friday night.

Elsewhere, fans of delicious food (read: everyone) should also have a great weekend. Look forward to Kennett Square’s Mushroom Festival, the beginning of the super-popular Center City Restaurant Week and more.

Read on for our guide to this weekend in Philly.
