Weekend Picks: Harry Potter Festival, Philadelphia Film Festival, 76ers Home Opener And More…

Enjoy a fun fall weekend in Philly...

From fun fall festivals to Halloween-themed frights, the weekend is full of surprises in Philadelphia.

Both muggles and wizards are in luck: The Harry Potter Festival returns this weekend to Chestnut Hill for its biggest fest yet, encompassing 12 blocks of the Northwest Philly neighborhood. Bond with fellow Potter lovers over Quidditch, brews and other enchanting fun.

The Philadelphia Film Festival has also returned for its 26th year (!), screening more than 100 films over its 11-day run, including a number of movies this weekend.

After a busy off-season, the Philadelphia 76ers are back in business with their most promising roster in years. Watch them take on Eastern Conference powerhouse Boston Celtics during the team’s home opener on Friday night.

Eastern State Penitentiary’s popular Terror Behind The Walls frightfest continues to scare guests all weekend. Looking for even more thrills? Click here for a complete guide to Halloween fun in Philly.
