Long Weekend Picks: Thanksgiving Parade, Winterfest, Christmas Village, Macy’s Light Show And More

There's a lot to be thankful for this weekend in Philadelphia...

Thanksgiving weekend in Philly is a time for family, friends, food and fun. Thankfully, there is no shortage of ways to enjoy your holiday weekend in Philly.

Philly is home to the oldest Thanksgiving Day Parade in the nation, which trots through Center City and down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway this Thursday.

The weekend also marks opening day for so many of the city’s classic holiday attractions and traditions. It wouldn’t be the holidays in Philly without the Christmas Light Show at Macy’s, Christmas Village (back in LOVE Park this year!), The Comcast Holiday Spectacular, Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest, A Longwood Christmas and more.

Performing arts fans have a lot to be thankful for, including Finding Neverland at the Kimmel Center, Annie and A Christmas Carol at the Walnut Street Theatre and more.

And the Philadelphia Eagles (who are now 9-1!) continue their monumental season this Sunday when they take on the Chicago Bears at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philly.
