Weekend Picks: Wintergarden At Dilworth Park, Franklin Square Holiday Fest, Veterans Day Events And More

Celebrate the weekend with more than 70 fun activities throughout Philadelphia...

Philly is flying high this weekend (and we’re not just talking about the 8-1 Philadelphia Eagles). Take your pick from dozens of great ways to spend this fall weekend in the city.

The holidays are officially here with the launch of two of the city’s annual winter traditions. Skate, shop, drink and eat at the Wintergarden at Dilworth Park and enjoy a spectacular light show featuring 50,000 lights at the Franklin Square Holiday Light Show.

Celebrate Veterans Day with free admission (for veterans) all weekend at the Museum of the American Revolution and free admission (for all) on Saturday to the National Constitution Center.

Are you in love with the arts? Broadway Philadelphia concludes its amazing run of The Phantom of the Opera this weekend. And for fans of dance, the Pennsylvania Ballet is in rare form with its show, On Edge.

Finally, for fans of wacky races (and the brave souls who enjoy participating in them), Sly Fox Brewery’s annual Cyclocross goes down on Saturday.
