Weekend Picks: Tree Lighting At RiverRink Winterfest, Deck the Alley, Museum Admission Deals And More

There's plenty of holiday cheer to enjoy in Philadelphia this weekend...

The holiday season is in full swing this weekend in Philadelphia, bringing events of all kinds to check out.

From one of the city’s largest tree lighting celebrations – complete with live performances and fireworks! – at Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest to the extra festive Christmas Festival at the holiday bedecked Peddler’s Village to the Winter Wonderland shindig at the South Street Headhouse Shambles, joyful happenings of all kinds are set to unfold this Friday through Sunday.

In between all of the holiday cheer, events such as the Coffee and Tea Festival in Valley Forge go down. Also on tap: a slew of museum admission deals at the National Museum of American Jewish History (free admission on Friday), the Penn Museum (free admission on Sunday), the Barnes Foundation (free ticketed admission on Sunday) and the Philadelphia Museum of Art (pay-what-you-wish admission on Sunday).
