For the final episode of Philly Chefs, we’re happy to introduce you to chef Ricardo James at the Jamaican Jerk Hut on South Street. The Jerk Hut is a down-home Philly classic that’s a little bit off the beaten path–and that’s just the way we like it.

Philadelphia is loaded with tasty restaurants in its many neighborhoods, and our bloggers have written about many of them. However, we wanted to bring you one step closer and give you a look at the restaurant scene through the eyes of the people who make it happen in the kitchen. That’s why we’re proud to introduce All Up In Their Grills, a monthly video series that will take you behind the scenes at five of Philly’s hottest eateries. Our first episode features chef/owner Jim Burke of James restaurant in Bella Vista. James is known for its romantic ambiance and excellent contemporary American menu that’s based on seasonal locally grown ingredients. As Philadelphia City Paper said, “There’s no such thing as a perfect restaurant, but James comes awfully close for a chef making his first real step out on his own.” On top of that, Jim turns out to be a really nice guy.

We’ll have a new episode for you on the first Tuesday of every month. Leave a comment and let us know what you think!
