Off to a running start for craft show season, the Philadelphia Etsy Team is proud to present “Not your Grandmother’s Craft Show” this Saturday, May 10, from 1-6pm at the Church of Divine Energy (48th and Woodland). Consider it a preview of the other amazing local shows to come this summer and a chance to buy some really sweet gifts for your Mom, your Aunt, your sister, your favorite guy or just for yourself.
Artists include member of both the Philadelphia Etsy Team and the Mason Dixon Independent Crafters (an Etsy team formed just west of Philadelphia). The location is apparently pretty ridiculous, as the Church of Divine Energy isn’t so much a church as just a crazy rad space full of odd and interesting stuff. And what is Etsy? Or why Philadelphia would need a whole Team for it? Etsy is an online venue for buying and selling handmade goods, and an Etsy Team is a group of local artists who sell their handmade things on Etsy. It’s kind of the best thing ever. And the show promises to be amazing, but you should go check it out yourself.
