Iron Chef Jose Garces To Compete On Season Two Of Chopped All-Stars On The Food Network In April

The Food Network is bringing back its hit show Chopped All-Stars for a second season and they’ve tapped our very own Iron Chef Jose Garces to be one of the All-Star competitors. He’ll be taking on three fellow Iron Chefs — Cat Cora, Marc Forgione and Michael Symon — in the show’s first episode. The four will do battle on Sunday, April 8 at 9 p.m., with secret ingredients like beef tendon, crawfish and chicken feet. If Chef Garces wins this first challenge, he’ll advance to compete in the show’s grand finale, and for a $50,000 prize for charity, on Sunday, May 6. Good luck Chef. [Food Network]

Jose Garces Now Targeting May For Frohman’s Wursthaus, His Beer N’ Brats Concept Coming To Midtown Village

It’s not hard to see why we’re excited about Frohman’s Wursthaus, the beer n’ brats concept from Jose Garces that made our list of the top 12 restaurant openings for 2012. 1) The name is an homage to one of the greatest movies of all time. 2) It’s location on 13th Street: cool space and Midtown Village is crushing it right now. 3) Beer n’ brats — duh. 4) Chef Jose Garces.
