Chef Marc Vetri’s latest restaurant Alla Spina and Zeppoli in nearby Collingswood are both included on Bon Appetit’s recent ranking of the Top 50 Best New Restaurant Nominees in the country, curated by Andrew Knowlton a.k.a. The Foodist. It’s pretty cool to see two spots highlighted in the Philadelphia area on this elite list. Fun fact: Zeppoli’s Joseph Baldino is actually a former chef de cuisine at Vetri. Go figure. Later today, the magazine will announce its Hot 10, narrowed down from this list, including a #1 spot. [Bon Appetit]
