Tonight is the Philadelphia Flower Show’s final theme night: Girls Night Out. It’s a special evening tailored just for the ladies, featuring food and wine tastings, shopping samples and raffles from retailers like 611 Lifestyle, Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness Center, Hotel Palomar, Charcoal BYOB and more. The first 250 guests will receive a special gift bag so be sure to arrive right at 5:30; the event lasts until 8:30 p.m. The event takes place in the VIP area outside Ballroom A (enter at 12th & Market streets). The Philadelphia Flower Show presents 10+ acres of stunning floral displays, Hawaiian food and drink and a bustling marketplace. But, this year, it’s also a great reminder of how you can contribute to PHS’ efforts to green the city. Specifically, you can make a tree pledge towards Plant One Million, an initiative announced at least year’s show that aims to add one million trees in the 13 counties in s.e. PA, NJ and DE by 2015. The Plant One Million exhibit is in the Grand Hall Concourse, where you can add leaves to a symbolic tree by pledging to plant a real one. [Make a Tree Pledge at the Flower Show]
