This past weekend’s Washington Post Travel Section features Philadelphia’s Independence Mall as one of its recommended Escapes.

The article lauds how the Mall combines a traditional telling of our nation’s history with an infusion of fresh perspectives.

Attractions like the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall have historic heft, but within a modern and engaging context.

Among the list of shoutouts are the recently opened National Museum of American Jewish History and the “Liberty 360” 3D panoramic show at the PECO Theater.

The Post‘s article is a reminder to Philadelphia locals and tourists alike to take advantage of the city’s rich past, and its even richer retelling in the present.
