Coming Attraction: Cook, A New State-Of-The-Art Kitchen/Classroom From Restaurateur Audrey Claire Taichman, To Bring Lessons, Demos, Talks And More To Rittenhouse Square

Audrey Claire Taichman, owner of Audrey Claire and Twenty Manning Grill, is venturing outside the realm of restaurants with her latest project COOK, a collaborative kitchen-classroom that will be used for cooking lessons, demonstrations and conversations in addition to being a cookware/pantry boutique and bookstore during the day.

Cook will be Taichman’s third venture on a small block of South 20th Street where she and her restaurants have been neighborhood anchors for 15 years. Cook will be located at the corner of Rittenhouse and 20th Streets, right up the street from Twenty Manning Grill and Audrey Claire.

The project, which is targeting a late summer opening, will focus on celebrating the craft of cooking, drinking and gathering at the table.

You’ll be able to take classes from A-list area chefs (think pizza and pasta-making, bread-baking, canning, knife skills and more), participate in food talks, pick up fun kitchen gadgets or unique food and cooking books, and host private events in a gorgeous space.

Taichman is incredibly excited about the project, recently telling us that: “the early response [to Cook] has been overwhelming — in a good way. So many chefs have called me already to get involved and teach a class. The tremendous support and collaborative spirit of the restaurant and food community is really what COOK is all about.”
