The Macy’s Flower Show Displays The Painted Garden In Center City, On View Through April 7

Though we haven’t seen much springtime weather as of yet, Macy’s Flower Show is in bloom at Macy’s Center City through April 7.

The annual Flower Show, now in its fifth year, transforms the department store into a veritable greenhouse. This year’s theme, The Painted Garden, intends to recall the landscapes of southeast Asia with lush displays of tropical flora.

In addition to the gorgeous floral displays, Macy’s hosts a number of events during the two-week-long display.

In the historic Grand Court, listen for the sounds of the famous Wanamaker Organ and catch special performances in conjunction with the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, every day except Sunday. For a complete schedule of times, click here.

This Wednesday, March 27, visit the Grand Court at 5:30 to take in Macy’s Spring Fashion Show: Spring Essentials, a preview of the season’s trends including style tips from author and TV personality Daisy Lewellyn.

Plus, the Bouquet of the Day display rotates six masterpieces by talented floral designers, including Beautiful Blooms‘ Donna O’Brien from March 29 to 30.

To help navigate the horticultural display, Macy’s offers free, 15-minute tours, starting at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., throughout the show’s run. Meet in the Grand Court at the Eagle.
