The Taste of Philadelphia, One Of Philadelphia’s Largest Annual Food Festivals, Returns To Penn’s Landing This Weekend July 5-7, With Food Vendors And Food Trucks, Local Beer, Music, Fireworks And More

A truly tasty weekend is approaching, Philadelphia. The annual Taste of Philadelphia returns, this Friday, July 5 for three full days of drool-worthy eats, live music and an awesome fireworks show. The affordable event boasts food prices as low as one dollar. Count us in.

On Saturday, July 6, pair your fine food with a fireworks show high above the Delaware River presented by Adventure Aquarium and a free concert featuring Marsha Ambrosius. Live music abounds all day, a slew of local musicians will take center stage at Penn’s Landing.

What better way to end the long holiday weekend than with sizable portions of food from some of the city’s best eateries?

Festival Schedule

• Friday, July 5: noon-10 p.m.
• Saturday, July 6: noon-10 p.m.
• Sunday, July 7: noon-3 p.m.


This year’s layout is almost identical to last year’s, food trucks will line the Chestnut Street Bridge, restaurant tents will be located on the Great Plaza. Musicians will perform on the Old City Stage, at Front and Chestnut Streets and the RiverStage at Great Plaza.

Food and Drinks

Philadelphia’s finest restaurants and food trucks serve the masses at the food-lovers festival. The food offerings include a variety of all of the sweet, salty, healthy and not-so-healthy items you can imagine. Enjoy delicious bites for just a few bucks each.

Vendors include The Cow & the Curd, Foo Truck, Brown Betty Dessert Boutique, Sweet Box Cupcakes, La Marqueza Taco Truck and Karma Indian Restaurant.

Also indulge in brews from Philadelphia Brewing Company, Anchor Steam from California’s Anchor Brewing Company and Miller Lite. Wine will also be available.


Entry to the festival is completely free. Once you’re beyond the festival gates, tickets are available in $1 increments and grant you access to the extensive food offerings at the festival. Purchase tickets to spend on your food of choice. Each dish costs anywhere from $1 to $5, determined by the eatery.


All weekend, groove to live music from national and local musicians. The festival’s musical headliner, Marsha Ambrosius, is a widely recognized performer who has shared the stage with Alicia Keys, Wale and Jamie Foxx. Ambrosius is set to perform on Saturday, July 6 at 8 p.m. at the RiverStage at Great Plaza. Other performances include Philadelphia-area rappers, dj’s and jazz groups.

Immediately following the performance by Marsha Ambrosius on Saturday, an epic fireworks show fills the sky above the Delaware River. The show is presented by the Adventure Aquarium and is set to begin approximately at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks will be viewable from a number of locations on the Delaware River.
