From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the avenue transforms into a Halloween and fall haven complete with activities for children, adults and even dogs.
The Spooky Saturday part of the deal welcomes trick-or-treating along the avenue, free cider and donuts, pumpkin painting, kid’s dance party and costume contests (for children and dogs!). Tip: Arrive early, the first 500 children to get to the Singing Fountain receive free tick-or-treat bags.
The kid’s costume contest begins at 11 a.m. and the dog’s costume contest begins at 12:30 p.m., both located at the Singing Fountain. Prizes will be awarded to children and dogs for categories like scariest, funniest and most original costumes. So, dress to the nines!
Fall Fest invites festival-goers to take advantage of quintessential autumn offerings. Feast your eyes on pumpkins and fall foliage at Urban Jungle, shop at an on-site craft fair and dance to live music.
Come hungry, a number of the avenue’s restaurants are slated to provide bites and drinks for attendees and the well-loved Tot Cart is also slated to fire up its oven. Indulge in eats fresh off the grill, seasonal cocktails and beer from Stateside, Halloween sweets from Ms. Goody Cupcake, craft beer and barbecue pulled pork sliders from Stogie Joe’s and that’s not all — more treats abound.
Admission to the festival is completely free, but food, drinks and other take-home items are available on a pay-as-you-go basis.
