Create a Mummers Parade-worthy mask at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens’ annual New Year’s Day celebration on Wednesday, January 1 from noon to 5 p.m.

Children and adults alike are invited to get crafty and make their finest mosaicked mummers mask inspired by the sparkling walls that make up Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens.

Before sitting down and creating a festive mask, stroll the gardens for inspiration, as the family-friendly fun is included in the price of regular admission.

The indoor and outdoor sections of the gardens include mosaics made from bicycle spokes, bottles, ceramic shards and other artistic knick-knacks, all created by Isaiah Zagar, who has created more than 100 mosaics in the City of Brotherly Love.

Create a mummers mask and get ready to perform your most impressive Mummers Parade strut.

Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, $3 for children ages 6 through 12 and free for children under 6.
