Kennett Square’s famed mushrooms make way for far more decadent treats at the Kennett Square Chocolate Lovers Festival this Sunday, February 9.
The annual benefit for the United Way of Southern Chester County, held at Kennett High School, is an all day celebration of all things cocoa bean. Cakes, cookies, brownies, cupcakes and of course candy are available for the sampling and swooning.
Professional chefs and home cooks compete for the best dishes in their category (professional, amateur and students ages 12 and up), and will be judged before the tasting begins.
The admission price includes six regular tastings with “professional” tastings for the cost of two tickets.
The festival ($5 admission) takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 9.
Head out to the lovely countryside for this sweet affair.
