This weekend, February 15 and 16, the Academy of Natural Sciences presents its annual dinosaur and fossil-centric festival, Paleopalooza.

Over the course of the weekend, children and adults are invited to learn about our extinct reptilian friends and fossils through a slew of hands-on programming.

Look forward to guided tours of Dinosaur Hall, a fossil hunt, fossil casting, discussions about dinosaur eggs and nests, crafts, live animal shows, interactive story time in the recently remodeled Outside In children’s nature center and much, much more.

Also be sure to check out the museum’s marquee exhibition, Dinosaurs Unearthed for an up-close look at a stampede of life-size, roaring, moving, animatronic dinosaurs.

All Paleopalooza programming is included in the price of general admission — admission is $15 for adults ages 13 and older and $13 for children ages 3 to 12.

Plus, this weekend is a holiday weekend (Presidents’ Day) for many, so spend some time taking in the sites at the Academy of Natural Sciences.
