The Beatles may have broken up decades ago, but they remain one of the world’s most celebrated bands. Which helps explain the broad popularity of Rain: A Tribute to The Beatles, coming to the Academy of Music , June 11-15.

Venturing back to a time when all you needed was love, the show is a multi-media experience that goes on a musical trip down memory lane, with renditions of classic tunes from the Beatles catalog, including “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” “Hard Day’s Night,” “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” “Let It Be,” “Come Together” and “Hey Jude.”

It’s all done by a spot-on cover band that dresses to look like the Fab Four though various stages of their career.

There is no storyline — this is a tribute concert through and through. Archival footage of the real Beatles helps fill the time needed for costume changes.

If you’re so moved that you want to get up and twist and shout, go right ahead. You won’t be alone on that score.

Also, be sure to stay till the very end — just like a real concert, there’s one heck of an encore.

Tickets, starting at $20, are available online.
