Tonight Picks: Night Market Lancaster Avenue, Jazz At Franklin Square, Pairings On The Parkway, Yoga On The Pier, Free Movie Screenings, Pop-Up Beer Gardens And More

GORGEOUS SUMMER WEATHER ALERT: Like so many Night Markets before it (including the one in Old City in May, shown above), tonight’s Night Market on Lancaster Avenue in University City has hit the weather jackpot. Seriously. Go outside right now and don’t come back in.

The weather is beyond perfect for the abundance of outdoor activities on tap for the evening — whether it’s an alfresco movie screening, outdoor concert, or even Night Market

Speaking of Night Market, the ever-popular food truck festival will fill Lancaster Avenue from 35th to 39th streets tonight with more than 70 food trucks, entertainers, local breweries and artists. Be sure to stop by the Visit Philly pop-up photo booth at 38th Street, too.

In typical Thursday night fashion, free movie screenings fill parks all over the city. Visit Penn’s Landing for a screening of The Hobbit – The Desolation of Smaug, Grays Ferry Crescent for The Karate Kid and Clark Park for Skanks.
