Philadelphia has a thriving local dance community, and Koresh Dance Company has been a part of the scene since its founding in 1991 by Israeli-born choreographer and artistic director Ronen (Roni) Koresh.

These days, the dynamic contemporary troupe tours the country, bringing its signature engaging and passionate style to cities from coast to coast.

This weekend, though, the normally traveling company takes the stage in its hometown for one of its two annual Philadelphia performance series at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre on the Avenue of the Arts.

For just three performances, the dancers of Koresh perform a reprise of the 2009 premiered work evž-ož-lu-tion, a full-length piece performed many times by the 20-year-old company, but reimagined for a new group of dancers with every repetition.

Tickets, starting at $35 for general admission, are available through the theater’s box office or online. For more information and to purchase tickets, check here.
