Wine-fueled parties and special sales fill tons of businesses in Midtown Village and beyond for Beaujolais Nouveau Day.

Put on your party hat, tonight is full of happy hour deals, special dinners and heated beer garden fun.

Tonight marks Beaujolais Nouveau Day, a celebration of a French wine served after being fermented for just six to eight weeks. Sip the sweet wine (seriously, it goes down like juice) at a slew of bars, restaurants and even some shops throughout the Philadelphia area — largely in Midtown Village, though. Visit spots like Barbuzzo, Open House, Vintage and Tria for wine specials, French dinners and celebratory sales.

Pizza Brain and Little Baby’s Ice Cream celebrate the third Thursday of the month with a team up with Philly Style Bagels. Look forward to bagel-centric pizza and ice cream scoops in addition to complimentary Yards beer.

Cozy up with a winter warmer at Franklin Square Holiday Festival’s heated beer garden, which will be open tonight until 8 p.m. Sip to the sights of Electrical Spectacle Holiday Light Show, which promises twinkling lights set to holiday tunes.

Businesses across the city — largely in Midtown Village — celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau Day, a celebration of a six to eight week old wine, with wine-fueled bashes and dinners this evening. Visit Bistrot La Minette for a special dinner, Barbuzzo for $7 glasses of Beaujolais, Lolita for $20 pitches of Beaujolais sangria, Open House to take advantage of a storewide discount and more. Franklin Square Holiday Festival

Visit Franklin Square’s Holiday Festival for a spectacular holiday light display (set to holiday music, of course) and brews from the Ben’s Bites & Brews beer garden. . The free show runs every half hour from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and the (heated!) beer garden will be open from 4 to 8 p.m.

Third Thursdee at Pizza Brain

Third Thursdays at Pizza Brain and Little Baby’s Ice Cream mean inventive flavors and a team up with a local eatery. Tonight, the two Fishtown favorites team up with Philly Style Bagels for a pizza made with an everything bagel crust and topped with salmon and cream. Little Baby’s will be serving up its everything bagel ice cream topped with pieces of Philly Style Bagels. Pair your eats with complimentary brews from Yards, too.

Philadelphia Food Fight

Help raise funds for the Fairmount neighborhood at Philadelphia Food Fight, a foodie event at Girard College. Sample fare from a variety of Fairmount restaurants in addition to eats from other neighborhoods, too. Pair your fare with drinks and live music. Tickets are $60 online and $80 at the door.

BalletX Fall Series 2014

In its fall performance series, BalletX will treat audiences to yet more new work, spotlighting an incredible array of talent in works by acclaimed choreographers Jorma Elo, Olivier Wevers and BalletX’s co-artistic director Matthew Neenan. The show promises world-premiere pieces, abstract works and more. Tonight’s show is at 8 p.m.

Supper welcomes a special happy hour tonight featuring meat from 1732 meats and special Yards brews. Regular wine and cocktail happy hour deals will be available, too.
