Happy New Year, Philly! It’s time to put on your finest party gear and get ready to ring in a brand new year.

Philadelphia is chock-full of New Year’s Eve events to properly ring in 2015. Head out to celebrate until the wee hours at fireworks viewing events, dance parties, prix-fixe dinners, concerts and much more.

For the younger set, plenty of family-friendly events fill the city on the earlier side, too. Think ice skating, a square drop at Franklin Square, a countdown to noon and more.

Tonight, the fireworks will illuminate the sky high above Penn’s Landing not once, but twice, as the New Year is celebrated with free fireworks shows at 6 p.m. and midnight.

Tomorrow, the annual Mummers Parade will bring more than 10,000 costumed Philadelphians to Broad Street (a new route!) for a full day of performances, celebration and revelry.

In celebration of the New Year, we will be heading out early to ring in 2015 — with fireworks, food, music and drinks — and we hope you are celebrating, too.

Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram for updates on happenings throughout the weekend.

Read on for our guide to this holiday weekend.
