The Rittenhouse hotel decks its halls this holiday season with festive lights, greenery, wreaths and more, in addition to holiday events throughout the month.
Upon entry, guests will find two marvelous gingerbread houses modeled after two iconic sights in Philadelphia — the Betsy Ross House and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The sweet houses were created by members of The Rittenhouse’s culinary team, and are superb sugary replicas (photo op!).
For those looking to tuck in to a luxurious family-friendly afternoon, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 14 and every day from December 19 through 28, children and adults alike are invited in for a spot of tea at the Mary Cassatt Tea Room’s Teddy Bear Tea.
For $60 for adults and $30 for children, guests can enjoy a variety of sweet and savory treats, sparkling wine for adults and apple cider for children. After tea, the pastry team from the Lacroix at The Rittenhouse will help youngsters decorate their own gingerbread men to take home.
Plus, the warm fuzzy feelings can continue even after the last sip of tea: kids receive a teddy bear from The Rittenhouse to take home, too.
