The craft beer bar’s own wings — fall-off-the bone duck confit chicken wings with pomegranate molasses-bourbon-chili sauce — are stellar, truly among the best wings in the city.
This Sunday, February 1, amateur chef Jay Cook — the victor of a preliminary round of the cook-off competition — whips up a competitive variety of three wings in the hopes of besting Varga Bar chef Evan Turney’s three recipes on Super Bowl Sunday.
A panel of food experts and Varga Bar patrons will serve as the judges for the evening, so come out to taste-test the entrants’ recipes and judge which wing will fly on Super Bowl Sunday to be named Super Fowl 2015 Champion.
Plus, there will be plenty of great beer and whiskey specials to wash down all of the wings.
