Runners, take note. The Broad Street Run is one of the most popular races to run here in the City of Brotherly of Love. Spots are generally not guaranteed due to a lottery system that picks participants.
Good news: For those looking for a guaranteed way to run the 10-miler, join the Fairmount Park Conservancy’s 2015 team of Park Champion runners. Those running on Fairmount Park’s team will enjoy a variety of special perks and guaranteed entry to the run — runners will ultimately help raise funds for the Belmont Plateau trail restoration project.
Perks that participants will receive include a $50-level membership to the Fairmount Park Conservancy, guided trail runs through the Belmont Plateau on select days, VIP-access to the post-race party at FDR Park and a discount at Philadelphia Runner.
Those interested in participating must pay $25 upon registration and raise $475 — to benefit the revamp of the Belmont Plateau trails — by June 1. Click here to register for the team. Interested athletes must register by April 1.
This year’s Broad Street Run is on Sunday, May 3. Start training — and fundraising!
