Heads up, treasure hunters and vintage lovers!
This summer, the fantastic Philadelphia-centric Franklin Flea market returns for the 2015 season to set up shop twice a month in charming Headhouse Plaza on 2nd Street.
After a booming holiday season housed indoors at the historic Strawbridge’s Building at 8th and Market streets, the highly curated Philly flea market continues its run with two market days every month this summer and fall from May through October.
On the second and fourth Saturday of each month, the Franklin Flea will join forces with the South Street Headhouse District to host a market of anywhere from 40 to 60 vendors all peddling high-end and handmade wares from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
As with the indoor market, shoppers can look forward to an ever-changing lineup of super high-quality vendors peddling a finely tuned selection of fine antiques and vintage clothing to handmade decorative arts and up-cycled furniture.
Those who’ve shopped the past seasons of Franklin Flea know to expect a finely tuned array of Philadelphia’s top vendors — think all of your favorite local Etsy shops in one eminently shoppable spot.
No shopper at Franklin Flea goes hungry, either, since the market always hosts a select group of food purveyors. Past vendors have included the likes of Luke’s Lobster, Lil’ Pop Shop, Milk + Sugar and many more.
With entry into this new neighborhood for the Flea, shoppers can expect a few new elements, including an occasional food-and-beer hall under the Shambles at Headhouse Square in collaboration with the South Street Headhouse District and its businesses.
We can’t wait to get shopping.
