Tria is now a quatro: The ever-popular fermentation café/bar has opened its fourth location in Center City, this time in idyllic Fitler Square.
This time around the space is larger — it’s the site of the former Dmitri’s Greek cafe — with whitewashed brick walls and light wood paneling giving it a clean, minimal feel and an open kitchen for added drama.
Every single bar seat overlooks the Square, and there are an additional 30 seats for al fresco dining.
As with all Tria locations, there are multiple taps of international craft beers, bottles and an always-interesting slate of global wines by the glass.
The menu, overseen by recent Tria addition Karen Nicolas (previously of Simon Pearce and Citron & Rose), is going bigger.
The menu includes heartier seafood and pasta dishes (trout picatta with semolina dumplings; grilled octopus with orzo salad), in addition to some of the mini-chain’s most frequently requested small plates (truffled egg toast with fontina; rosemary and fennel marinated olives; warm poached black mission figs with gorgonzola and prosciutto di Parma).
There’s also a selection of Italian sandwiches, salads and, of course, an intriguing cheese menu to round out all of those fine beverages.
Tria Fitler Square will add brunch service in the coming weeks, too.
If three’s a charm, then four must be even luckier.
