The Bearded Ladies Cabaret To Perform A Brand-New Show At The PHS Pop-Up Gardens Select Dates From July 1 Through 19

Get ready for some excellent alfresco entertainment.

Beyond offering craft beer, food and good times, the PHS pop-up gardens will also host live cabaret performances for much of the month of July.

On select dates from July 1 through 19, the city’s ever-popular Bearded Ladies Cabaret troupe will perform a new show created exclusively for the PHS pop-up gardens, Bitter Homes and Gardens: A Botanical Hoe-Down.

The cabaret will bring plants, flowers, weeds and produce to life as the characters tell a song- and dance-centric story about the lives of greenery and their planters. Throughout the shows, guests can look forward to adaptations of music from the likes Bill Withers, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, RaeLynn and Faith Hill — and audience participation, too.

The show debuts on Wednesday, July 1 with a preview performance at the East Passyunk pop-up garden at 6 p.m. From there, the show will continue at the East Passyunk location on select dates through July 10. Starting on July 14, the show will move to the Graduate Hospital beer garden and will continue every day through July 19.

The show will run for one hour and admission is pay-what-you-wish, but the suggested donation is $15 to $20. The full schedule of performances is available below.
