Tonight Picks: Free Screening Of Mean Girls At The Schuylkill Banks, Free Music At Spruce Street Harbor Park, Pairings On The Parkway, Flannelpalooza Chuckoachella And More

It’s a sweet summer Thursday in Philadelphia thanks to a free outdoor concert, alfresco movie screening and much more.

Tonight, free movie screenings return to the Schuylkill Banks by the Walnut Street Bridge with the summer series debut screening of Mean Girls at 8:30 p.m.

On the other waterfront, Spruce Street Harbor Park hosts some free fun as it presents the first of its WXPN The Key’s Waterfront Sessions, a free summer concert series.

Also tonight, guests can BYOB and enjoy live music and grilled eats at the weekly Pairings on the Parkway event at Sister Cities Park.

Tonight, free outdoor movies at the Schuylkill Banks return for the summer with a screening of Mean Girls at 8:30 p.m. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic and watch the popular movie fill the silver screen. Guests of tonight’s film will also enjoy free snacks and a free raffle. That is so fetch.

​Flannelpalooza Chuckoachella

Tonight, the grunge rock parody cover band The Flannel Chucks hosts ​Flannelpalooza Chuckoachella, a first-of-its-kind festival featuring 11 musical acts and shopping from local vendors. Vendors will be on hand selling their wares in the 2,500-square-foot Figment Theater that will be transformed to look and feel like an outdoor venue with the theme of “oversized magic” for the night. Tickets to the fest, $15, are available online.
