There are only three more nights including tonight to check out Future Sensations at The Oval, an awesome immersive exhibition that is making its only U.S. stop right here in Philadelphia. Don’t miss the chance to check it out.

Bring a bottle of wine and spread out a blanket at Sister Cities Park as it hosts Pairings on the Parkway, a weekly event featuring grilled food, music and more.

Also tonight, Philly Beer Week continues with events like a beer garden at Headhouse Shambles and a turtle race at Drury Beer Garden.

Future Sensations at The Oval

It’s the only week to check out the Future Sensations exhibition at The Oval. The City of Brotherly Love is one of just four cities around the world and the only U.S. city to host this futuristic traveling exhibit. Discover the five immersive digital pavilions, which combine live digital experience with 21st-century technology and imaginative arts. Admission to the exhibition is free. In addition to the pavilions, the installation will be accompanied by a pop-up beer garden and food trucks.

Pairings on the Parkway

Before or after you check out Future Sensations at The Oval, spend time at Sister Cities Park as it hosts its weekly Pairings on the Parkway event. Bring a bottle and hang out in the grass while live music surrounds the parks. Guests can pair their BYOB wine or beer with grilled fare from the on-site Logan Square Café, which will be available for purchase.

Philly Beer Week Beer Garden

Head to the historic Shambles at Headhouse Square for the official Philly Beer Week Garden to enjoy special one-offs and rare brews alfresco, plus live tunes and food from South Street Headhouse District restaurants. Admission is free, with brews and bites on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Terrapin Turtle Races at Drury Beer Garden

Yes, witness a race between tiny turtles at Opa’s Drury Beer Garden! Head out for beers from Atlanta’s Terrapin Brewery in cans and on draft, the chance to meet the brewery founder and an actual turtle race.

Raising The Rails Party

Support the Friends of Rail Park, a group that aims to make the Rail Park in Callowhill a reality by attending a fun party this evening. The main fundraising event runs from 6 to 8 p.m., with $100 tickets, but from 8 to 11 p.m. the after party puts some serious “fun” in fundraising with food from the brand-new Brick and Mortar restaurant, drinks and music by a number of artists including Chill Moody, a local hip hop artist. Tickets are $25 each and include three drink tickets.

Tangle Movement Arts Presentes Intersections

Free Yoga at Race Street Pier

Tonight, Race Street Pier is the place to go for free yoga as the waterfront park continues to host a yoga session led by yogis from Dhyana Yoga. Class takes place from 6 to 7 p.m. and is bring your own mat.

Negroni Week

Drink for a good cause as Negroni Week continues at bars throughout the city. $1 for every Negroni or Negroni-inspired cocktail purchased will be donated to a charity of their choosing. Memphis at the Walnut Street Theatre

Inspired by real-life events, Memphis, the Tony Award-winning musical takes the stage at Walnut Street Theatre tonight at 8 p.m. Set in the 1950s, the story recalls a time when segregation was still prevalent in America’s southern states. The show follows white radio DJ, Huey Calhoun, who wants to break the color barrier and bring soul music to the masses. Tickets start at $20.

The Lion King at the Academy of Music

  1. Excited that Terrapin’s getting good publicity up here! Helped them bottle & package when I was in college at UGA and have loved the rye pale ale since the early days. One small correction though – Terrapin’s HQ is in Athens not Atlanta, GA.
