We’re halfway to the weekend, so celebrate with happy hour, live music or a big lobster dinner.

For those looking to do some happy hour-ing, Center City Sips continues with $5 cocktails, $4 wine, $3 beer and half-price appetizers at more than 80 bars in the city, and happy hour deals also fill bars in East Passyunk for the weekly Passyunk Passeggiata.

The historic Headhouse Shambles continues to host free movie screenings under the covering this evening. Head out tonight for a free screening of Hairspray and food and drinks from a number of bars and restaurants.

Center City Sips

Wednesday night in Center City means Center City Sips. Stop by any one of more than 80 bars participating in the happy hour promotion, which runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Enjoy $5 cocktails, $4 wine, $3 beer and half-price appetizers. Tonight, try out Rosa Blanca Cafe at Dilworth Park for Sips deals and music provided by an on-site DJ. Other ideas? The new Uptown Beer Garden, Independence Beer Garden, Aldine, The Foodery and Top of the Tower.

Dinner and a Movie at The Shambles

Tonight, the dinner and a movie series at the Shambles at Headhouse Square continues with a screening of Hairspray and food and drinks from Cavanaugh’s Headhouse, Dump-N-Roll and Local 215. The event starts at 6 p.m., the film is slated to start at 8 p.m. and food and drink are available on a pay-as-you-go basis the whole time.

P.M. at the Penn Museum

The Penn Museums hosts its P.M. at the Penn Museum summer nights concert series in its courtyard. From 5 to 8 p.m., Zydeco-A-Go-Go will perform a rhythm and blues show inspired by the sounds of New Orleans. Beyond music, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages and food will be available for purchase at the Pepper Mill Cafe Garden Bar. Admission is $10 for those who aren’t members of the museum and free for museum members, PennCard holders, Penn Health System employees and children under the age 6. The ticket price includes admission to the museum and an optional guided tour.

Twin Lobster Dinner at Oyster House

Get a taste of summer by the sea during Oyster House’s Twin Lobster Dinner deal. For $28, diners can score two steamed one-pound Maine lobsters, steamed corn and drawn butter for lobster dipping. Guests can pair their seafood dinner with a Kenzinger Shandy made with housemade rosemary lemonade for $5 a glass.

Passyunk Passeggiata

Stroll the East Passyunk neighborhood while enjoying food and drink deals and even some shopping sales for its weekly Passyunk Passeggiata event. The Wednesday night series begins with the Singing Fountain Farmers’ Market, which starts at 3 p.m. Deals continue on the avenue at businesses like Cantina los Caballitos, Stogie Joe’s and Brigantessa until 8 p.m.

Tonight, BalletX debuts Summer Series 2015, the final show of its 2014-2015 season. The show consists of three works by choreographer Adam Hougland, a Juilliard School-trained performer. Before tonight’s show at 7 p.m., guests can take part in a special event, Conversations with the Artists , and learn about the creative process for this show.

The Bearded Ladies Cabaret continue their brand-new show at the PHS Pop-Up Garden in East Passyunk. The hour-long cabaret brings plants, flowers, weeds and produce to life as the characters tell a song- and dance-centric story about the lives of greenery and their planters. Throughout the shows, guests can look forward to adaptations of music from the likes Bill Withers, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, RaeLynn and Faith Hill — and audience participation, too. The show is pay-what-you-wish, but the suggested donation is $15 to $20.
