It’s the height of iced tea season, and there’s no denying the appeal of a cool glass of the good stuff.
On Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15, a pop-up at COOK celebrates all things leafy and fermented as well as the launch of a brand new journal, with tea.
The brainchild of Teaspoons and Petals blogger and tea consultant Alexis Siemons, the quarterly magazine includes 11 seasonal tea-infused recipes, photos and stories.
It’s got uber-cute packaging, too: each copy is wrapped in a vintage handkerchief that encourages readers to make more tea at home.
The debut issue will be available at COOK during the pop-up (each issue is $25) and COOK is also offering a discount of 20 percent off all its cookbooks and pantry items for the event’s duration.
Visitors will also, of course, get to sample free sips of freshly brewed iced tea and cold-brewed tea, with Siemons herself on hand to share her Specialty Tea Institute certified savvy.
In true pop-up fashion, spontaneous visits are encouraged, with no reservation necessary.
All that’s needed is a little thirst, which should be no problem on an August afternoon.
