Craving an awesome summer street festival? You don’t have to wait very long: Night Market Lancaster Avenue is tomorrow night.
After excellent events showcasing neighborhoods throughout the city, Night Market Philadelphia returns for a summer bash to hit West Philadelphia’s Lancaster Avenue tomorrow evening, Thursday, August 6.
Kicking off at 6 p.m., Night Market arrives in West Philly with more than 85 of the city’s best food trucks and restaurants setting up shop for one night only between 34th and 39th streets until 10 p.m.
This final summertime event of the Night Market season — there’s just one more 2015 Night Market in Fishtown this October — invites food lovers to explore the ever-growing Lower Lancaster Avenue, a corridor that connects five neighborhoods like the communities of Mantua, Powelton Village and University City.
Tonight’s festivities bring out a stupendous lineup of food and drink, including beer from Yards Brewing Company. Plus, this street food fest will also include rocking live music on two stages from a multitude of artists, including Minka and West Philly’s very own West Philadelphia Orchestra.

The Food & Drink
We know you come for the eats. With food and drink options from more than 85 vendors (at last count), it’s a good idea to come hungry and come early (to try and avoid long lines).
The dozens and dozens of vendors will peddle every manner of creative street food imaginable, and the lineup includes tons of market staples like Pitruco Pizza, Bonjour Creperie, Foolish Waffles, Mac Mart Cart, Samosa Deb and The Cow and the Curd. Plus, be on the lookout for Philadelphia restaurants with pop-ups at the market like Pizzeria Vetri, Nomad Pizza, The Baker’s Jar and Hai Street Kitchen. It’s a true smorgasbord.
To drink, the good folks of Yards Brewing Company will have three booths along the avenue, and Frecon Farms is set to pour its hard cider, too.

Live Music & Entertainment
No Night Market is really complete without live tunes to keep crowds grooving, and the lineup at Lancaster Avenue pays homage to the neighborhood’s jazz heritage, as well as the up-and-comers found at the nearby universities.
Local entertainment hits two stages throughout the night, with the main stage at Powelton Avenue and more entertainment lined up at a Lancaster Ave Vendor Mall at 38th Street.
At the main stage, hear from the West Philadelphia Orchestra, KillerWhale, Minka and more from 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Elsewhere, look for roving musicians and DJs.
Getting There & Staying Over
The West Philly neighborhood around Lancaster Avenue and 38th Street is super accessible via public transit, car or taxi/Uber and bike and Indego bike share.
For travel by SEPTA, just hop on the Market-Frankford line to 34th Street and walk north to Lancaster Avenue. Or, take the bus via routes 30, 31, 40 and 43. Note that the number 10 trolley line will not be operating on its normal route during Night Market.
Those arriving via Indego will have no trouble docking bikes. Just for Night Market, the bike share system will have pop-up corral service at the 38th and Lancaster Avenue station from 6 to 10 p.m. Corral service means all riders are guaranteed an open dock all night long.
Paid parking lots are available along Market Street between 34th Street and 40th Street, including Central Parking, 3901 Market Street.
