Mt. Airy Street Fare: Sip Savor, Stroll
In the spirit of The Food Trust’s hugely successful Night Market — which arrives in Fishtown for its final event of the season on October 1 — gourmet eats and drinks take to the streets of Mt. Airy for Street Fare: Sip, Savor, Stroll, lining Germantown Avenue all the way from Mt. Airy Avenue to Sedgwick Street from 6 to 10:30 p.m.
Head to Mt. Airy to nosh on fare from more than 50 food vendors, shop crafts and apparel from more than a dozen on-site retailers, listen to live music from half a dozen bands on two stages, play in a family-friendly zone and more.
Look out for such local Mt. Airy restaurants as Earth Bread and Brewery, Trolley Car Diner and Jyoti Indian Bistro.
Really, though, it’s food trucks that reign during Street Fare, and Philadelphia favorites will be on hand. Look for Bonjour Creperie, Calle Del Sabor, Delicias, Foolish Waffles, Mac Mart Cart, The Flying Deutschman, Undrgrnd Donuts and so many more.

Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll
Got a buck? University City District’s Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll returns to West Philly this Thursday, September 17 for a festive evening of jammin’ live music and one-dollar deals.
Local businesses between 43rd to 51st Streets set up shop for the evening, offer $1 specials of eats, drinks, gifts and services — think mini scoops of ice cream from Little Baby’s, beer samples from Dock Street, samosas from Desi Village, artsy notecards at VIX Emporium and more.
In addition to food and drinks, guests can also expect performances from musicians, Polynesian dancers, jugglers and more.
Access to the evening festival is totally free, just pay for food and drinks as you go. With more than 30 top West Philly vendors and a handful of food trucks lined up to participate, there will be absolutely no shortage of deals to be had.
