What’s better than a fun-filled event that appeals to your particular interests? A fun-filled event that appeals to your particular interests and raises money for a great cause.

Whether your passions lie in food or fitness, artistic décor or after-dark spookiness, these upcoming galas, races and festivals will satisfy every kind of do-gooder.

PHeaSt for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society

Some of Philly’s best local growers and chefs come together to feed hungry foodies at this garden-to-table celebration. Proceeds benefit the PHS City Harvest program, which provides locally grown food for families in need and helps build healthy communities. Tickets range from $150-$300.

When: Friday, October 16, 6-10 p.m.
Where: PHS Warehouse at the Navy Yard, 5201 South 13th Street

Take A Seat Annual Gala & Charity Auction for the IFDA

In anticipation of this annual event, select interior design professionals reimagined furnishings and seating as works of art. Now, the masterpieces will be auctioned off to benefit Project HOME, which helps struggling individuals break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.

When: Friday, October 16, 6-10 p.m.

AIDS Walk/Run Philly

The 29th annual AIDS Walk Philly returns with a 5K route that begins at the Philadelphia Art Museum and continues along scenic Martin Luther King Drive. This fundraiser is the biggest annual HIV/AIDS public awareness and fundraising event in the Greater Philadelphia region.

When: Sunday, October 18, 7:30 a.m.
Where: Route begins at the Philadelphia Art Museum, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway

GLOW in the Park

This fun-filled evening will light up the night, along with food, drinks, music and surprises to celebrate Philadelphia’s beautiful park system. Tickets cost $75 ($45 for Fairmount Park Conservancy members).

When: Thursday, October 22, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Where: Avenue of the Republic and N. 41st Street

Second Annual Run4UrLife 3K Fun-Run

Head to West Laurel Hill Cemetery for a spooky event with tricks and treats around every corner. Attendees are welcome to participate in the 3K race, or they can opt to dress in their scariest costumers to shock the runners as they cross the finish line. Proceeds will benefit MANNA, which delivers meals to patients in need in our area. Entry costs $30 per person.
