Creed Stars Sylvester Stallone And Michael B. Jordan To Appear On Art Museum Steps This Friday

Yo, Rocky fans. Creed, the latest installment of the iconic Philadelphia-based Rocky movies, hits theaters nationwide on Wednesday, November 25 — and we are pretty psyched.

Lovers of all things Philly that we are, we can’t wait to check out the seventh installment in the Rocky franchise of movies, a spinoff featuring the actor Michael B. Jordan as Apollo Creed’s son boxing under the tutelage of Rocky, with none other than Sylvester Stallone reprising his original role.

This Friday, the movie buzz begins to hit hard with a celebratory visit by the stars of Creed to the famous steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a.k.a. the “Rocky steps.”

Stars Sylvester Stallone, Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thomson and the film’s writer/director Ryan Coogler and producer Irwin Winkler will join Mayor Michael Nutter and Philadelphia Film Office Executive Director Sharon Pinkenson at the Philadelphia Museum of Art this Friday, November 6 for a special press conference (read: not open to the public).

The film is set in Philadelphia and the City of Brotherly Love features prominently in the film, so this is a chance for the stars and makers of the movie to give thanks to the city.

Check out the film’s second trailer below and get ready for the return of Rocky to Philadelphia.

  1. So nice that this is happening. About as nice as not having a single pre-screening anywhere near Philadelphia! Boo!
