Five Delicious Events For Food-Lovers Hitting Philly This Week

Night Market, Burger Brawl, Summer Pig Out at Amada and more...

The next few days are especially food filled with major food truck festivals, special dinners, themed cooking competitions and more.

This Thursday night, more than 70 food trucks and local vendors converge on the Callowhill Hill neighborhood for the second Night Market of the season.

On Sunday, burger fans should report to the parking lot outside of Xfinity Live for the annual Burger Brawl competition, which also promises a taco competition this year, too. Taste burger and taco samples from top restaurants in Philly at this popular event.

An all-time favorite food festival returns to Philly this Thursday night — Night Market! The food truck festival fills Callowhill from 6 to 10 p.m. with eats from more than 60 food trucks, drinks from local distilleries and breweries, live music and more.

Raspberry Celebration at Linvilla Orchards

Linvilla Orchards celebrates a true fruit of summer — raspberries — with an all-day festival this Saturday. Guests can enjoy raspberry picking, live performances, summer produce samples and more.

Taste of Three Cities

Food trucks from three cities — Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. — will serve up their most impressive eats at the fifth annual Taste of Three Cities food truck competition. Guests of the event can enjoy eats from trucks like Cow and the Curd, Poi Dog Philly, Oink and Moo BBQ and more while grooving to live music and checking out other live performances. Funds raised will benefit a local non-profit in each city — in Philadelphia; funds raised will benefit The Food Trust.

Summer Pig Out at Amada

This Sunday, Amada serves up endless suckling pig for its annual Pig Out food event. Guests pay $60 per person and receive a bevy of Spanish tapas and plates upon plates of endless suckling pig. Accompaniments include spinach salad, roasted fingerling potatoes, chorizo a la planxa and an egg-cream based dessert. Make your reservations for this feast of a day.

Burger Brawl and Taco Takedown

Burger fans aren't going to want to miss this one. This Sunday, the annual Burger Brawl competition returns to the parking lot outside of Xfinity Live with slider-sized samples from more than 20 restaurants. This year, in addition to a burger brawl, the event also consists of a taco brawl featuring tacos from favorite spots like El Vez, Heffe, Revolution Taco, Buena Onda, Loco Pez and more.
