The Holiday Season Arrives In Peddler’s Village With A Full Month Of Festivities

Celebrate the season in Peddler's Village with holiday lights, Santa, shopping and more...

The most festive season of the year arrives in Peddler’s Village with one million twinkling lights, hot cider, holiday shopping, a gingerbread house competition, visits from Santa and so much more.

Grand Illumination Celebration

The Christmas festivities kick off in the New Hope attraction this Friday night, November 18 with the annual Grand Illumination Celebration.

The village turns into a full-fledged holiday village with Santa and Mrs. Claus as they turn on the one million holiday lights at 6:15 p.m. Following the illumination, guests can tour Peddler’s Village and enjoy hot cider, marshmallow toasting over a hot flame, pictures with Santa, Christmas carols and more.

Friday also marks day one for the village’s annual Gingerbread Competition and Display, which brings more than 50 inventive gingerbread creations to the Village Gazebo for a six-week showcase.

Holiday Festivities

Following the opening weekend events, the holidays in Peddler’s Village continue all season long.

With a plethora of shops throughout the area — toy stores, clothing shops, candle sellers, candy stores and more — Peddler’s Village is a hub for holiday shopping. The village begins its holiday shopping with the Merchant’s Open House weekend (think refreshments and extended hours) from November 18 through 20. Following the kickoff weekend, the shops offer extended hours throughout the season.

On December 3 and 4, the Christmas spirit hits its height as the Christmas Festival returns to the attraction. Throughout the weekend, enjoy pictures with Santa, a Santa parade, holiday tunes and more.

Best of all? Admission to Peddler’s Village is free. Food, drinks and certain activities are available on a pay-as-you-go basis.
