Weekend Picks: Tree Lighting And Fireworks At Winterfest, First Friday, Deck The Alley, Franklin Flea And More

Enjoy this festive weekend in Philadelphia...

The holiday season is in full swing this weekend with pop-up shops, tree lighting celebrations, festive events and so much more.

The weekend kicks off with a bang as RiverRink Winterfest hosts a tree lighting celebration with performances, hot cocoa and (drumroll, please…) a landside fireworks show! The fun on the waterfront starts at 5:30 p.m. this Friday night.

Just a few blocks up from RiverRink Winterfest, a plethora of First Friday celebrations fill galleries, restaurants and shops for the December edition of the after-dark event.

In the coming days, the city’s holiday celebrations hit a high note with Franklin Flea at the Historic Strawbridge’s Building, Deck the Alley at Elfreth’s Alley, a tree lighting and Christmas parade on South Street and so much more.
