Long Weekend Picks: New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day In Philadelphia, Kwanzaa Celebrations And More

You guide to 70+ things to do in Philly this New Year's weekend...

Happy New Year, Philly!

A new year arrives this Monday and Philadelphia makes an amazing place to count down the days until 2018.

Celebrate the final moments of 2017 with New Year’s Eve parties and ring in 2018 with New Year’s Day festivities.

Seasonal holiday celebrations continue this weekend, too, with Kwanzaa events celebrating unity, creativity, faith and giving at cultural destinations like the African American Museum and Boathouse Row.

Dilworth Park Wintergarden and Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest are both open this weekend for lovers of ice skating, hot chocolate and great photo-ops. This is also the final weekend to check out winter attractions like the Comcast Holiday Spectacular and Franklin Square’s Holiday Festival.

With more than 70 events and a huge holiday this weekend, it’s a great time to book the Visit Philly Overnight Hotel Package, which comes with $235 in free perks, including free hotel parking, free tickets to Terracotta Warriors at The Franklin Institute, free ice skating and admission at RiverRink Winterfest and a $25 Garces gift card.

Follow Uwishunu on Twitter and Instagram for updates throughout the weekend.
