Long Weekend Picks: Presidents’ Day Weekend, Philly Theatre Week, Lunar New Year Celebrations And More

Celebrate the long holiday weekend with fun things to do and see throughout Philly...

An extra long weekend (for some) means that there’s extra time to enjoy all the great things going on this Presidents’ Day Weekend in Philly.

Some of the City of Brotherly Love’s biggest cultural institutions celebrate Presidents’ Day weekend with special events and admission deals. Enjoy special programming at the Museum of the American Revolution, the National Liberty Museum (offering pay-what-you-wish admission on Monday) and the National Constitution Center (offering free admission on Monday).

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with dance demonstrations and tasty food in Chinatown and at Reading Terminal Market and Independence Seaport Museum.

Elsewhere, Spider-Man and other comic book stars come to Philly for Marvel Universe Live!, Philly Theatre Week wraps up its inaugural celebration and exhibitions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Museum of the American Revolution and Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts all conclude this weekend.

We’ll be out celebrating Presidents’ Day on Monday, so we’re extending our Weekend Picks post through the holiday. We will be back first thing Tuesday with Picks of the Week for next week.

Be sure to follow Uwishunu on Twitter and Instagram for updates throughout the weekend.
