Weekend Picks: Dilworth Park Wintergarden’s Closing Weekend, Black History Month And More

How can you celebrate the weekend in Philly? Let us count the ways...

If the (glorious) weather from earlier this week is any indication, winter is on its way out — and, sadly, so is one of the city’s major winter attractions.

This weekend is your last chance to check out the winter wonderland that is Dilworth Park Wintergarden, located in the shadow of City Hall. Enjoy ice skating, navigating the winter maze and munching on warm treats in the cabin while you can.

Elsewhere, Philadelphia landmark Reading Terminal Market celebrates its 125th anniversary (!) with a massive ticketed blow out on Saturday. And the African American Museum marks the culmination of another eventful Black History Month with two events: A Beautiful Thang: A Black Arts Salon on Friday and family fun on Saturday.

Also on tap: three huge beer festivals, another edition of Dinos After Dark at the Academy of Natural Sciences, a big bash at the Barnes Foundation and more.
