Weekend Picks: Easter Events, The Opening Of Game Masters, First Sunday Museum Deals And More

It's a stacked spring weekend in Philly...

It’s finally starting to feel like spring in Philadelphia — just in time for Easter, Passover and a whole host of other fun goings-on in the region this weekend.

The Franklin Institute’s highly anticipated Game Masters exhibition, which opens this Saturday, offers guests a chance to play some of the best video games ever while learning about the evolution of gaming from Asteroids to Angry Birds.

Exciting Easter events like The Hop-A-Long Trail at Franklin Square and the South Street Headhouse District Easter Promenade promise tasty Easter snacks and fun Easter egg hunts.

The African American History & Culture Showcase
features never-before-seen private exhibits, living legend history makers, documentary films, historical reenactments, panel discussions and more, all for free at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Finally, First Sunday is a great day to experience the arts in Philly with pay-what-you-wish admission to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and free admission to the Barnes Foundation.
