Make plans to catch global hip-hop superstar Pitbull — for free! — at the big Wawa Welcome America July 4th Concert this Independence Day on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Pitbull — or “Mr. Worldwide,” as he’s also known — is the star behind hits like Timber, Give Me Everything and I Know You Want Me. He’s sold six million albums and 70 million singles, and had No. 1 hits in more than 15 countries.

The Parkway stage will also welcome Heather Headley, a Grammy Award-winning R&B, gospel and Broadway star who has toured with Andrea Bocelli. The Philly POPS BIG Band and R&B singers Tiffany Jones, Alita Moses and Desahanna Wooden will perform as well.

After the festivities on stage, a huge fireworks show will fill the sky above the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This year’s spectacle promises to be the largest July 4th fireworks show in more than a decade.

Can’t make it to the Parkway? The celebration will be broadcasted live throughout the Philadelphia area on NBC10 and broadcasted in Spanish on Telemundo62.

More info on the other 49 free events going down during the 26th annual Wawa Welcome America festival will be announced in May, so stay tuned.
